BACKGROUND:

Born in Germany, raised mostly in Europe before permanently settling down in America. Diana's parents regularly moved since they couldn't decide where they wanted to settle down until she was about 15 years old. She then formally started attending high school, after having been home schooled her entire life. She graduated at the age of eighteen and attended college as soon as she graduated high school. She earned a AAS within three years at the age of 21.

Her relationship with her parents is a strained one. Her older sister left the family as soon she graduated. No one has heard from her sister since. After Diana left her family, her relationship with them became better since she didn't feel pressured to be the perfect child everyone knew she wasn't. She used to be best friends with her mother when she was little.

As a child, she had a horrible experience at a birthday party, where the kids thought it would be funny to lock her in a basement. She was five years old at the time, and it scarred her. A man dressed as the clown for entertainment tried to help her, and in her panic, she took it the wrong way, thinking her was going to hurt or kill her, and more trauma was added. This was the beginning of her long life of withdrawing from others and her weekly therapy sessions.

At the age of seventeen she was beaten to within inches of her life by a girl that had bullied her since the entered high school. It caused her to spend weeks in the hospital, and left her with an oversensitive sense of touch and heightened smell due to the damage she received to her brain and spine. The girl who beat her was never formally charged, and Diana spent a lot of years in therapy due to this. She will refuse to bring this up unless it's imperative she does. It left her with a severe case of PTSD that she now is finally starting to be able to fully cope with.

After high school graduation, she enrolled with her father in a wilderness survival course. During this time she fell in love with nature. Her fear of insects almost caused her to fail the course, since the bug touching her skin made her panic. This was due to the feeling of the insects crawling on her sensitive skin, which made it feel like more than one bug crawling on her at once, causing her to throw a massive tantrum in the middle of the forest. Her father managed to calm her down enough to continue the classes till she passed. Other than that, she spent her college summers hiking with her father all over the US. These became her therapy session that actually worked. It was during that time she also enrolled in gun safety classes in case she was ever attacked in the wild by things like drunk hunters, or animals.

A run in with the girl who beat her made her run from her quiet home. She couldn't find a place to settle down in or the longest time, traveling all over the US and finally making some good friends along the way. She finally found a nice quiet town at the age of twenty-four. She became a librarian there, and hopes to one day do more with the AAS. She hopes she can become something of a forest ranger or a survival guide with her knowledge of the wilderness.

Personality

Sparrow was once a very reserved and emotionally distant person. She does still keep strangers at a distance until she gets to know them. With the people she considers real friends she is the exact opposite. Her emotions shine through in ever interaction with them. She laughs, cries, shares her fears and dreams, and listens as they tell her theirs. When she's in happy mood, she sings and dances around. Her cat is the only witness to these times, and since cats can't talk, it is a secret between them. Cream is one of her best friends, despite being a cat. She speaks not only with her words, but with her entire body, especially her hands. She also finds the smell of people she likes a lot more pleasant than strangers, and if her friends smell different, she is quick to ask them about it. Most of the time, though, they only interact in chat-rooms or over Skype. This is fine with her, and she does not hold back her happiness when she does talk to them.

She has an incredible sense of loyalty as well. If you are in her circle of trust, you can bet the will be the person who will always advocate and fight for you, though she will not do anything that would break the law. When she does decide to do things like hug, she does so only with her friends and family since she trusts them, even if it does leave her dizzy due to her sensitive sense of feeling.

The way she interacts with people also depends on her mood and how she perceives them. Happy moods are always an indicator of trust, whereas bad moods show she wants nothing more than to get away and unwind. Strangers get her wary mood until she knows how she should feel around them. She is more physically open with friends and will show open emotions. With strangers she acts more modest and demure, making sure to look down or away often to seem either disinterested and shy. She will act intentionally like she has a lower IQ to gauge people.

She does have a temper. Her gestures are more dramatic when she's angry, and make it seem like she is throwing a temper tantrum. If provoked enough about subjects she doesn't want to discuss, she will lash out at the nearest object or person. To know when she is truly, truly angry, she goes quiet and smiles. That's when you know she will never give you a second chance at getting to know her. She'll systematically completely cut that person out of her life, and if that isn't an option, she will do her best to not acknowledge their existence.

She has depression and PTSD, which comes out in several ways. She has OCD tendencies, though they are more mental repetition than outward behaviors, such as repeating sentences, numbers, adding and subtracting numbers till they feel "right," and so on. When anxious enough, she will start obsessively cleaning things until she feels "safe" in her environment. Wringing her hands shows when she feels threatened, and picking at her skin is when she feels that people are judging her outward appearance. She can't tell if a person is joking or being serious when they tease her, so unless specifically stated, she will get nervous around that person. If she feels bullied, she will withdraw for a while. Her friends can usually get her out of these funks by simply being there for her, and doing things like sending her cat videos or simple letting her rant at them.

INCENTIVE/FIT:
Her incentive is herself, to finally become comfortable enough with being around other people who won't try to hurt her in some way. She wishes to become more physically comfortable with herself, to not shy away whenever someone shows interest in her, and to make lasting bonds beyond the internet. Her biggest dream is to be in a relationship of mutual trust and understanding, so she feels that this place might just be what she needs to attain these goals.

When it comes to sex, her personality is completely indifferent. She has no interest in it, and she lets the person trying to initiate it know. That does not mean she doesn't like being kissed or being cuddled. It has to be on her terms due to her sensitivity to smells and touch. She does want to be in a relationship, but doesn't know how to go about it.

She has a light blue summer dress she received from her mother, light green waterproof coat for hiking, and a sturdy pair of black hiking boots and knee high socks. Backpack is filled with freeze fried goods and two canteens of water, sunscreen, first aid kit, sleeping bag, iodine tablets, map with pencils marks all over it, nylon rope, Savage 11/111 Lightweight Hunter rifle with scope loaded with six bullets strapped over it, and two packs (Hornady .243, lite ammo, 20 count; Hornady .243, full boar ammo, 20 count), flare gun, hunting knife, battery and solar powered flashlight, extra pair of socks, biodegradable soaps, and a compass.

If any of these items aren't permitted, she is willing to part with anything other than the dress, her gun, or her hunting knife. She'd also like to be able to bring her cat Cream along.
